MOAB 2021 (FULL)
Troop 12 will be headed to MOAB, Utah during Fall Break this year! For those of you (Like Me) who have made the unfortunate mistake of traveling to MOAB in the summertime, this is your chance for redemption! Fall is the most beautiful time to visit without the scorching heat!
We have reserved 4 nights (Saturday October 16th-Wednesday October 120th) at the Moonflower campground, which is just a few miles outside of downtown MOAB. Moonflower campground, the Scouts hands down all time favorite campsite, is in a canyon and has no direct sunlight so the temperature is awesome; it also has great hiking and climbing at the site. As you likely know, this area is an incredible outdoor mecca in the high desert. There are more sandstone cliffs, arches, and canyons than you can explore in a lifetime. The PLC will be planning and communicating specific activities as the dates get closer, but we wanted to get this one on your calendar now. Options include hiking, mountain biking, Canoe or Rafting a river as well as exploring Canyonlands and Arches National Parks.
We will meet at eaglecrest on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 9:00 AM for the drive out to MOAB.
The campsite holds 25 people total. Previously, this has been open to scouts and parents. However, it is now open to additonal family members. Please note that any youth that are not registered with BSA need to attend with a parent.
Since this trip will be over 72 hours we will need BSA Med Forms A,B & C (your existing ones will work)
