Welcome to
Troop
GET INVOLVED - LEAVE A LEGACY
Troop 12 is
located in Aurora CO. Troop 12 was founded in 1981 and the
charter organization is the St. Michaels' Men’s Club. We attribute
our success to outstanding parental involvement and dedicated scouts that
focus on Scout Spirit: having fun and earning badges.
Troop meetings are
every Monday night at Peakview Elementary School, 19451 E. Progress Cr.
Aurora, CO 80015 map from
7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The BSA Class "A" uniform is
expected to be worn at each meeting and scout outing unless otherwise
noted. Average troop registration is 45 scouts and over 47 scouts have
earned Eagle Scout over the past 28 years, including 7 scouts who have
recently done so.
Mission: To prepare young people
to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in
them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Troop 12 exceeds the
expectations of scout enthusiasts through a variety of outdoor
activities including monthly camping and backpack adventures. Scouts look
forward to earning merit badges all year long and at Camp Dietler, which is an annual week-long
summer camp. One of our troop highlights was an excursion to Catalina
Island, off the coast of California. Scouts hoisted sails, snorkeled and
scuba dived in the beautiful clear waters. Our Troop attends the annual
Scout Camporee which is hosted by our district.
Fundraising is a fun way for scouts to earn their
way through scouting. Fundraisers include popcorn, scout cards, nuts,
wreaths, and more.

through an excellent scouting adventure along the exciting scouting trail.

TRAINING
REQUIREMENTS - all leaders and volunteers are required to take
training PRIOR to commencing any Troop Assistance - no
exceptions.
