Troop 12 is located in Aurora CO. Troop 12 was founded in 1981 and the charter organization is the St. Michaels' Men's Club.  We attribute our success to outstanding parental involvement and dedicated scouts that focus on Scout Spirit: having fun and earning badges.

Troop meetings are every Monday night at Peakview Elementary School, 19451 E. Progress Cr. Aurora, CO 80015 map from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.   The BSA Class "A" uniform is expected to be worn at each meeting and scout outing unless otherwise noted. Average troop registration is 48 scouts and 50 scouts have earned Eagle Scout over the past 29 years.

Mission: To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Troop 12 outdoor activities exceeds the expectations of scout enthusiasts including monthly camping and backpack adventures. Troop 12 Boy Scouts enjoy CAMPING nearly every month in 2012 and look forward to attending our annual summer camp at Camp Dietler , at Buckskin Joe. Earning more merit badges and outposting at the 2 activities scout like most. 

Fund raising is a fun way for scouts to earn their way through scouting. Fund raisers include popcorn, scout cards, King Soopers grocery cards, nuts, wreaths, and more. FUNDRAISERS Click here

Adults are welcome to participate in Troop 12 and enhance its success!  All leaders and volunteers are required to take training PRIOR to commencing withe any Troop assistance, no exceptions. Check out the adult training requirements.  Adult drivers are always needed.  Parents must provide their driver information for Troop outings.  Complete the form for drivers here.

May 11-13      Air Force Academy Campout.  Click Here.
                                    Join Troop 12 on a campout at the Air Force Academy.
                                    Sign-up with Mr. Smith at the Troop Meeting by April 26 .

May 17            Troop 12 Committee Meeting 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
                                     A meeting for adults to discuss how they can support the Troop - anyone can attend.
                                     Smoky Hill Library (South Biscay Circle and Smoky Hill Road) 1st Floor meeting room. 
                                     Plan to attend upcoming 2012 meetings.

May 19            Shotgun Saturday.
                                    Join Troop 12 for a day of shooting in Byers with our NRA trained staff. There are
                                    typically 4 "Shotgun Saturdays" throughout the year: April 14, May 19, July 14, and Aug 25 .

May 25           Volunteer to Place Flags in Yards.
                                     Volunteer to place flags in yards for Memorial Day weekend.  Sign-up with Mr. Sharp.
                                     Meet at Sagebrush Elmentary Park at 6:00 PM

June 10          Parent Meeting for Summer Camp.
                                   A meeting for adults to discuss the upcoming Summer Camp.
                                   Smoky Hill Library (South Biscay Circle and Smoky Hill Road) 1st Floor meeting room.
                                   3:00 to 4:00.

June 13           Patrol Leaders' Committee (PLC) Meeting.
                                    Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leaders, and Assistant Patrol Leaders meet to discuss Troop
                                    activities. Meet at Mr. Heacox's house from 7:00 to 8:30

June 24-30     Summer Camp - Camp Dietler at Buckskin Joe.
                                    Join Troop 12 for a week at summer camp.  For more information click here.  
                                     Please select merit badges and let Mr. Cycyota know by April 15 .

June & July     Bighorn Youth Leadership Training / Camping. Click Here.
                                     This is a 6-day adventure to advance youth leadership.  It is held at Camp Tahosa.
                                     Pick one of the five weeks.  Troop 12 will have staff for the event in Weeks 1 & 2.

July 11             Patrol Leaders' Committee (PLC) Meeting.

July 18-22      Troop 12 Backpacking Trip. (Tentative Dates)
                                    Join Troop 12 for a backpacking trip in the Indian Peaks.

July 23             Court of Honor - Peakview Elementary School 7 to 8:30 pm
